Question by devilsfan9888: Protein intake to burn fat and gain muscle?
I am interested in burning off body fat and gaining muscle, however, how do I calculate the right amount of protein to take in in order to effectively burn fat and gain muscle? I do not want to take in too much and end up gaining more body fat because my body cannot assimilate the amount of protein I take in daily.

Calculate your Basic Metabolic rate (BMR). then make sure you don’t eat to many calories relative to your BMR per day. You can try and eat about .5 to 1 gram of protein per day per pound of body weight and this will help maintain your muscle as you drop fat.

here is a link to help you calculate your BMR http://www.bmi-calculator.net/bmr-calculator/

and here is a site for protein http://www.buybulkwhey.com/
